Trinity's Ministry Committes

Responsible for depositing all unopened envelopes into bank night depository on Sunday mornings, evenings and following all special services.

Prepare robes and be on hand to assist candidates before and after baptism. Maintain baptismal area and supplies.

Evaluate ministry opportunities in the Lake Area, determine what local, state and national issues should be given priority, keep church family informed, and serve as volunteers as needed.

The Committee on Ministries is nominated by the Deacons. This committee is responsible for recommending new church committee members, chairpersons, and acquainting each committee with its duties.

Count, balance and deposit offering envelopes and cash given to the church each week in a confidential manner. This committee meets on the first banking day of each week at 8:30 a.m. Several committee members are asked to retrieve deposit bags from the bank where the Deposit Committee has deposited them on Sunday.

Assist in the serving of meals at church-wide events. Examples of these are Wednesday Family Night Meal, Banquets, High attendance Days, etc. Additional help is recruited for serving large crowds.

Responsible for interior furnishings, seasonal decorations, and recommending upkeep on furnishings, decorations, inside flowers and plants.

Obtain and secure personnel to greet members and guests and distribute Informer each Sunday, for revivals and any other church-wide meetings.

TBC in partnership with St. Luke Simpson and other churches provide food and financial assistance to the needy in the Lake Area.

Non-rotating committee responsible for the enlisting, planning and organization of all Foreign Mission trips for Trinity, and for the storing and inventory of all supplies. The Committee will consist of not less than five (5) members.

The Personnel Committee diligently supports, assists and enhances the Church Staff in their ministries and duties and establishes church employment policies, in consultation with the Pastor. They recommend salaries for all Staff members, aid the Pastor and Staff when employing personnel, and name recipients for special recognition.

Responsible for coordinating all Rebuilding Together activities, select house captains, appoint a recruiter for volunteer workers, and appoint an Information and Public Relations person.

This committee is to patrol the buildings and parking lots during church services to discourage vandalism. They also assist in emergency situations as needed.

Plan and direct church-wide receptions and/or courtesies for special people or events as the occasions arise, and be available to serve at these events.

Develop policies and procedures for the Trinity Center, plan for special events and activities and oversee issues as they develop.

Trustees are the legal agents of the church, representing Trinity in all matters concerning property and legal matters and making recommendations to the church for approval. The Trustees shall be comprised of eighteen (18) members and shall serve for a rotating term of three (3) years.

The ushers will help seat worshipers, collect the offering, and assist during worship as needed.

Assist at all weddings held at Trinity. Two committee members should be present at each rehearsal and wedding. Keep an inventory of all equipment, making sure that it is clean and in good condition, and order new equipment as needed.
